Dinosaurs Alive! – 11

Although some of the trees may look as though they are leaning at a dangerous angle, they are all secured at the top to the in-house box truss, which is supported on chain hoists. Once all the trees had been put up, we raised the truss until all trees were off the ground, then lowered it so the base of the trees was resting on the ground. The attachments of the tops of the trees (6mm steel cable passed through holes drilled in the trunks) was regularly checked for safety: one of my nightmares was that a tree would fall on a visitor!
