It’s the first time I’ve ever tried growing sweetcorn, though I have a vague memory that we might have tried it once (unsuccessfully) as a family back in the 1970s. The variety is an F1 “Incredible”, perhaps not the best choice for a sometimes-breezy garden as it can apparently reach 8 foot tall! They arrived as plug plants some 3 inches high six weeks ago, and are now over 3 foot. Still, as no runner beans and very few tomatoes have set due to the intense heat, at least it’s something that might enjoy the current weather.
