When I moved in here over ten years ago, I bought an electric recliner armchair. It was the smallest and cheapest one I could find! It’s done sterling service, as I use it five or six hours a day, but earlier this year it started breaking springs and developing rips. twang !
So, a rather expensive replacement was ordered, in a green leather with button back, to match the sofa. Last week, I was notified that it would arrive today, delivery 0700-1000h. So yesterday was wrestling the old armchair into the front room, ready for an eventual bulky waste collection, and a major clean of the carpet under where it had been – amazing how much filth can accumulate in a decade!
New chair delivered just after 8, and set up and tested within ten minutes. I’m pleased with how it looks, and it seems comfortable, though will take a bit of getting used to as the controls are very different.
